Double-sided sterling silver fob medal - Birmingham 1919/20

This sterling silver fob medal is unique in having two raised shield cartouches, one on each side. Neither has been engraved so it could easily be personalised by its next owner. It is highly decorative and quite large and would make a stunning pendant. These were originally attached to fob watch chains but have become popular as pendants. It was made by William James Dingley in Birmingham in 1919/20, who was known for producing high quality fobs and other medals. It is well hallmarked with a full set of stamps on one side and the bail also stamped with the lion passant.
