Pair of Susie Cooper Swansea Spray Coffee duos - Turquoise

These two lovely little Susie Cooper duos, comprising a demitasse coffee cup and matching saucer are a stunning turquoise colour. The elegant little cup is tapered towards the bottom and has a lovely handle with a dash of turquoise glaze. This colour is wash-banded on the inside of the cup which also has a spray of flowers lithographed on the surface to the left of the handle. The design is called Swansea Spray. The saucer has a wide flattened rim, which has been enhanced by the turquoise wash. It has the Swansea Spray motif in the centre, which sparkles in pinks, yellows and greens. The pottery is earthenware and has a creamy colour. The backstamp on the base says, A SUSIE COPPER PRODUCTION, CROWN WORKS, BURSLEM, ENGLAND  in brown. The two duos are in very good condition though they do have crazing which is common to these pieces and a few tiny scratches to the turquoise glaze on the saucers and one cup has a small scratch on the flower design. A little luxury to enjoy, whether on display or holding your morning coffee.
