Lynette Campbell art glass scent bottle - 1998

I love the colour combination in this scent bottle created by talented New Zealand glass artist Lynette Campbell. The orange swirl around the neck of the bottle contrasts beautifully with the blue body of the bottle. The swirl ends in an obvious flourish almost like a full stop - and the vivid hue against the frosted blue is a delightful touch. There are a couple of very minor and barely noticeable small scratches to the body but the stopper is in perfect condition, which is often not the case with these as they are very delicate. Campbell sadly passed away in 2005 cutting short her career. She had a remarkable feel for colour and was a skillful practitioner. There was a retrospective of her work held at Burning Issues Gallery in Whangarei in 2008. Please look closely at the photographs as they form part of the description.
