9ct gold cufflinks - Birmingham 1897/8
$419.00
This Victorian set of gold cufflinks would be fantastic for a special occasion. With one side of each an oval and the other side a heart, the wearer can choose to wear his heart on his sleeve for all to see or keep his feelings on the inside. They would be a romantic gift for a loved one. Both sides are adorned with a vacant cartouche so they could be personalised by a future owner with a monogram and foliate decoration around the cartouche. They were assayed in Birmingham in 1897/8 and are very well hallmarked. Unfortunately the maker's mark wasn't well struck so I can't confidently identify the maker. The antique box is for display only and is not included. Please look closely at the photographs as they form part of the description.
