Original Magic for All - Bert Douglas 1927

$35.00

This attractive book was the third book written by one of magic's most prolific authors Bert Douglas. It dates from the 1920s and is full of Art Deco charm, from the cover design and colouring to the magic tricks within utilising cigars and powder puffs. It would be a fun addition to a magic or art deco collection. It is one of the rarest editions in C. Arthur Pearson's range of conjuring books.

The condition is good, though would be considered very good for a book in this series as the spine paper is still largely present with some cracking and minor losses to the top and bottom and the boards are still well attached. There are marks, wear and creasing to boards, some foxing and a few marks to pages. It is a hardback with card covers and dates from 1927 (first edition).  It has 124 pages and is illustrated with 64 diagrams.

It is a fun piece of history from a time when hobbies like magic would have made one a very interesting dinner guest and tricks could be divided into magic for men and magic for ladies...
