Victorian 15ct gold ruby and half pearl band ring - Chester

This elegant Victorian ring was made in Chester of 15ct gold with a central ruby and six half pearls. Unfortunately, wear to the hallmarks means the specific maker and year of production can't be reliably determined but was likely made between 1860 and 1890. They are often described as gypsy rings. It is size O - O1/2. 

These rings are fantastic to wear but given their age and the presence of natural pearls shouldn't be used while doing household tasks like - dishwashing and using harsh chemical cleaners but they are perfect for wearing out. 

Unfortunately the antique box doesn't come with this ring, though I hope to have some for sale in the future.
