Victorian leather cabinet card album

This Victorian leather photograph album is in excellent condition. The exterior has some very minor marks and a little rubbing but it has survived incredibly well. The gilding to the leather and the page edges is in great condition. It would originally have held cabinet cards (if you're looking for some I have a few I can make available). It would be perfect for a collector of cabinet cards or someone with old family photographs to preserve. I think a fantastic new use for it would be as a hiding place for other treasures as the cards being a consistent size leave a large gap in the centre of the empty book. If you have some other leather bound books it could easily sit among them on a shelf. 

Internally there is a little foxing of the pages consistent with age. These books often got damaged when cards were inserted or removed, there were some minor tears in the paper which have been repaired, but there is one small area of paper loss, which is shown in the photos. 

Overall, for an item that is probably between 120 and 150 years old, the condition is really impressive. It has obviously been treasured and treated with care.
