Victorian mother of pearl calling card (or credit card) case

This mother of pearl calling card case is in amazing condition and is the perfect size to be very useful in modern life - you could carry business cards in it but personally I'd use it to take my credit cards and cash out, especially for an elegant evening out. The play of colour in the mother of pearl diamond pieces is reminiscent of opal with pink and green flashes of colour in the light. There is a silver central diamond panel with engraved scrolling design and a blank cartouche if you wish to have it personalised. There is a very small crack in one mother of pearl diamond on the back and there is a close up of it in the photographs. It is secure and is in no danger of detaching. The light blue interior fabric and the darker gold edged concertina card holder is in stunning condition and retains its vivid colour with no fading at all. The hinge and opening mechanism are also in perfect working order. It is a unique treasure in wonderful condition. The perfect addition to a collection or the start of one.
