Sterling silver ballpoint pen - Birmingham 1962

This vintage sterling silver pen was assayed in Birmingham in 1962. The maker was probably William Manton Ltd. It is extremely well hallmarked and is in excellent working order. The hexagonal body of the pen alternates engine-turned pattern with plain silver on each surface. It has not been monogrammed so it could be personalised for the next owner. Similar pens new by the same maker are more than twice the price of this vintage example that is in excellent condition.
