Sterling silver mechanical pencil - Birmingham 1965

This vintage sterling silver propelling/mechanical pencil was assayed in Birmingham in 1965. The maker was probably William Manton Ltd. It is in excellent working order. The body of the pencil features an engine-turned pattern and has a vacant cartouche so it could be monogrammed for or by its next owner. Similar pencils new by the same maker are more than twice the price of this vintage example that is in excellent condition.
